FIRST COMMUNION CLASSES
Welcome to the Lord's Table
In Holy Communion, God refreshes the incredible relationship that He initiates with us at our Baptism.  At St. Paul's Lutheran Church, sixth graders, or students ages 10 - 12, are invited to participate in Holy Communion preparation during the season of Lent.  This 6-week instructional program leads to the child's full participation in the Sacrament of Holy Communion.

First Communion instruction is led by our Pastors and Lay Leaders of St. Paul's.  Students and their parents (or guardian) will meet during the Sunday School hour (9:20 a.m. - 10:10 a.m.) each Sunday morning in preparation for the sacrament.  First Communion will be given on Maundy Thursday at a special Rite of First Communion worship service.

CONFIRMATION CLASSES
Welcome to our Faith Family
Confirmation is an educational and pastoral ministry of our church designed to help all baptized members grow in their faith.  Confirmation begins at baptism and lasts a lifetime.  Public affirmation of Baptism in the Rite of Confirmation marks the entry of the Confirmand into full membership in the congregation.

From the beginning of seventh grade until the spring of the eighth grade year Confirmands will explore the meaning of Christian faith in classes, fellowship activities and service projects.  Special emphasis is given to the Bible, Martin Luther's Small Catechism, the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, worship, faith, and how all these relate to God's Word.

Confirmation instruction classes are offered during school hours for our day school students.  Evening classes will be offered for students not enrolled in our day school.

Parent Information Meeting
Parents and Students are encouraged to attend our Parents Information Meeting is held pror to the start of  Confirmation classes  This meeting reviews the expectations and requirements of the program, materials are distributed and teaching staff are introduced.  Look for announcements in upcoming Epistle's, our SON Newsletter, or on this site for the next Parents Information Meeting in Fall 2010.
