St. Paul's Lutheran School is a parochial school with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. All teaching positions are ministerial positions that are required to perform important religious functions. These functions include but are not limited to incorporating the Christian faith into all aspects of the Employee’s job duties. The employee may be called upon to lead and/or otherwise participate in Christian devotions, prayer, and/or Chapel services at various times throughout the school year. Elementary Classroom Teachers

We are seeking passionate and dedicated elementary classroom teachers (assigned grade level could be from 1 through 5). Creativity and innovation are a plus, encouraging students to be engaged and involved in their learning experience.

Job Summary:

A teacher at St. Paul’s Lutheran School will prayerfully help students gain the knowledge, skills, behaviors, and attitudes that will contribute to their development as mature and responsible Christian citizens. He/she exemplifies the qualities of a strong Christian character, both on and off the job. An Elementary Teacher is responsible for teaching fundamental subjects to children in grades K-5, including creating lesson plans, grading homework and tests and answering questions from students. He/she will provide instruction according to the approved curriculum and may serve as a lunch/recess attendant.

Qualifications:

• Is a member in good standing of a Christian church.

• Has a BA or BS or above from an accredited institution.

• Has the ability to effectively communicate with students and differentiate instruction.

• Has a humble, teachable spirit and willingness to respect and abide by administrative authority.

Middle School Language/Literature Teacher

Wellness Coordinator / Counselor (part-time)

We are seeking a part time passionate and dedicated wellness coordinator / school counselor for grades K through 8.

Job Summary:

A part-time wellness coordinator / counselor will be responsible for providing short-term counseling to students and referrals for long-term support, collecting and reviewing any 504 plans or individual education plans for students who have been admitted to St. Paul’s and creating St. Paul’s Service Plans for accommodations, and working in conjunction with the resource staff to ensure all approved student accommodations are being provided.

Qualifications:

• Is a member in good standing of a Christian church.

• Has a BA or BS or above from an accredited institution.

• Has a humble, teachable spirit and willingness to respect and abide by administrative authority.

• Has a heart and calling to educational ministry and love for serving the children placed under our care.

• Has training and/or certifications in remedial education, wellness coordination, and

  social-emotional learning.
